make alterations to the preschool screener
Hi. I wanted to just send you a private email, but can't find an email address for you. I am a British speech therapist and have just bought a copy of your Preschool Screener for possible use myself but more to see if it is something I want to recommend to nurseries I work with. I generally like it but I have a few reservations about it. Firstly, I would suggest using a different sequence for your sequencing resource - peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are very American and have no meaning to a British child. Something more universal such as washing hands or getting dressed might be better.
Also, the speech sounds screener includes lots of "r" sounds (at least two of which are not actually pronounced in British English), but no "k" which is probably the most frequently mispronounced sound in this agegroup. I would also personally include an s-blend too. I realise it is only a screener but I would also include some idea of which sounds are acquired when as well as just generating a number - ie if the child can't say p/b I would want to see them even if they can do all the others!
I hope you don't mind me suggesting these alterations, I think it is a good product otherwise! Thank you for your resources, I have several that I use regularly.

Hi, I was about to comment a similar thing - I noticed that the pictures have been altered to hand washing but the instructions for the therapist are still about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Also, on the colours page, there is a typo in the heading ‘colours’.
Thank you.
